The best podiatrist in Sydney. Abdel goes above and beyond to ensure his clients feel comfortable and takes his time in explaining the situation at hand in layman terms. Took his time to assess my situation for a foot that had been giving me grief for some time. Highly recommended.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!I have been going here and seeing Abdel for the last three years. I can't recommend him enough. When I first came to Abdel I was in excruciating pain and unable to stand for more than 30 minutes at a time. This was as result of flat foot. Abdel took the time to explain what it was and had me cast for custom orthotics. He took the time to answer all my many questions and made sure the orthotics were comfortable. As a teacher, I am on my feet all day, Abdel took the time to explain what I should be looking for when choosing the right shoes. I can now happily go about my day pain free. This is all thanks to the great work of Abdel helping me choose the right shoes, and making me the best, most comfortable orthotics I can have.

The consultation with Abdel was great, as he was very reassuring and supportive. He explained the diagnosis well, as it was supported with hand drawn diagrams and a calm tone of voice. Thanks very much Abdel for your compassion, respect and patience.

Common Orthotics Questions

Orthotics are custom-made shoe inserts designed to support and comfort your feet. They are used to correct foot posture and alleviate pain.

What is an ingrown toenail?

An ingrown toenail occurs when the edge of the nail grows into the surrounding skin, causing pain and swelling.

How can ingrown toenails be treated?

Treatments range from soaking the foot and antibiotics to partial or full nail removal, depending on the severity.

When should I see a podiatrist for an ingrown toenail?

If you experience intense pain, redness, swelling, or infection, it’s important to seek professional treatment as soon as possible.

Can an ingrown toenail heal on its own?

Mild cases may improve with home care, but severe or recurrent ingrown toenails require professional intervention.

Is the treatment covered by insurance?

Yes, children with foot alignment issues, flat feet, or other conditions can benefit from orthotics to support proper foot development and prevent future problems.

How often should orthotics be replaced?

Orthotics typically last between one to five years, depending on usage and wear. Regular check-ups with your podiatrist can help determine when replacements are necessary.
